I am an experienced, caring tutor.

I have over 10 years of experience tutoring. I have tutored elementary to college students and even taught basic reading through Sylvan's Ace-It tutoring. I have extensive experience working one-on-one and also in groups. I was a Supplemental Instruction Leader all through my college years which allowed me to work with groups and instructors, creating sample tests and quizzes, and helping individuals with different learning styles. I have assisted others with learning Spanish, even when English was not the first language, and helped high school up to college students.
My teaching style is adaptable to the student.

A Little Bit About Me...

I play guitar and write songs and sing. I have two CD's on CDBaby.com. I also have four books I've written on Amazon so I would like to teach writing and perhaps reading as well. I also play drums and lead drumming circles. I am a motivational speaker and writer, my last book being motivational in nature.I have taught creative writing as an adjunct back East at the junior college level.
I am very hands on and believe in folks learning from their mistakes. I make people write and then go over it with them believing that writers are made not born and the same with musicians. "Genius is 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration".

I have worked in the field of education for the past 15 years but have worked with youth in all of my career since graduating from college in 1983. I love to see the success in children's eyes. I am patient and kind, but have big expectations.
