I am a certified high school math teacher currently teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, and Math 7. I have been teaching for over 6 years and I have been tutoring for over 7 years. Geometry is one of my top subjects! A personal favorite. Passed with an A+. Spent fifty hours tutoring this and other math subjects on-the-spot. Have kept notes approved by a teacher.

I have had over fifty hours of experience tutoring math on the spot. Students would come in at whatever time was convenient for them while I was available with varying questions from a wide array of subjects. Sessions were student-led and I worked on quickly transferring between completely different topics.
I am used to student-led teaching. The students choose the topic they feel they need the most help with. I walk him/her through an example problem or two and then he/she does a few alone. Once I feel that he/she is comfortable with the topic, I ask whether he/she would like to try any more. This allows the student to take control of their time and learning experience, which is often much more interesting and enjoyable for them. However, I am open to going through the book consecutively.
