I have been involved in higher education since my 2nd year of college. I also have been involved in helping local elementary, junior high, and high school students in the areas of the sciences, computer technology, and math. I would have taught high school but I found higher ed to be more interesting. I have a BS in Biology with a minor in Computer Science. I also have a M.Ed. in Education Administration and Supervision with 17 graduate hours of Biology. I have been one of the tutors on the Adult Learning Center staff at the Johnson County Public Library in Franklin, Indiana since 1998, and my tutoring work has mostly been concentrated in teaching English for the past eleven years. I also spent approximately three years (2002-2005) tutoring boys at the Indiana Juvenile Correctional Facility (Indiana Boy’s School), covering mostly English, math and GED preparation. I have earned a bachelor degrees, BS in agriculture and MS in Agriculture, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science.
