A Little Bit About Me...

I am a person that is driven by the joy you get when a student finally understand something they didn't think they could. I am a teacher that will change my approach depending on the student and I will not stop until I am sure that they "get it". My strengths are physics, chemistry and math and i love making these subjects fun for all ages.
As engineering student I was always dedicated to my studies,and I truly enjoy learning. During my high school and college years I was a swimming coach at the local swim club and that is were I realized my love for teaching. After moving to the U.S. I worked as a substitute teacher for the desert sands unified school district for almost 8 months before entering my CLS training program. I am currently working with the School of medical technology program to enhance the curriculum and better the educational experience.

More About This Tutor...

Essentially my teaching style is through showing the proper tools to use for solving an algebra problem. Once the proper tool is understood, algebra is just like following a series of instructions, much like a cookbook. From past personal experience, I understand how confusing and intimidating algebra can be. I will strive to make my students confident with their algebra skills.
I recently finished my PhD. in biomedical engineering at UCLA. I also have a background in rocket propulsion analysis. With my skills, I am fully confident I can teach and tutor algebra. I have over a year in experience as a teaching assistant at UCLA.
