A Little Bit About Me...

As a 2009 graduate of Eastern Washington University, I have teaching experience at the middle and high school. I currently hold a Washington State Teaching Certificate in Social Studies and Language Arts. While at EWU I worked as a tutor for the NCAA to keep athletes eligible to play. I have tutored students in the subjects of English, history, economics, biology and geography. I worked as a teaching assistant with credit deficient high school students in a drop-out prevention program. In this position, I worked with students to build basic academic and life skills so they could return to their home schools and successfully earn a high school diploma. My teaching experiences include college faculty member and home school teacher for my four children. They graduated from the Independent Study High School University of Nebraska, participated in Running Start and are all college graduates. I was also a 4-H leader for over twenty years and instructed many youth. As a community organizer, I developed public education and outreach programs.
