Hello! I have 15 years of teaching experience in the classroom and have been tutoring now since January of 2012. I have a true passion for teaching! I have taught in the parochial, private, and public schools. I taught at Assumption Catholic School from 1997-2004, English and Reading to 6th-12th grade ESE students at The Broach School from 2004-2008, and Intensive Reading to 11th and 12th graders at Andrew Jackson High School (public inner city urban in Duval County) from 2010-2011. I have also conducted FCAT, ACT, and SAT prep, as well as study skills in the summer months when students don't have schoolwork! While in the classroom my average student came up 3-4 grade levels in a year in reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, spelling, and language mechanics. My comments on tutoring Business : I hold an MBA and a Masters in Accounting and have worked in the financial field for 30 years. In addition to accounting I feel extremely qualified in finance, economics and management.

In accounting, finance and economics I believe using real life examples is a better way to get a student to understand principles. However, I do recognize that all students do have different learning styles and it is my job to adapt my methods to the manner in which a student learns best.
I have spent my whole adult life working in the field of accounting and finance. I am a life long learner and believe in the power of education. I have been a CEO and COO of a publicly traded bank and am now employed as a VP of Project Management which gives me the flexibility to pursue teaching and tutoring. I've been a manager for 15 years in the restaurant industry. I've spent the last 9 years as a restaurant general manager running the day-to-day operations of several locations.
