A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate student in materials science at UC San Diego, and a recent graduate of the California Institute of Technology with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I have a broad and thorough understanding of math and physics, and to a lesser degree in chemistry and biology, as well as in more specialized subjects. I also have good writing skills gained from writing research and review papers and papers for graduate-level history classes. I am very familiar with the SAT and GRE tests and have two years' experience tutoring students in remedial classes at the high school and elementary school level.

A Little Bit About Me...

During my four years at Colorado State University, I tutored high school and college students in math and spanish. I also taught spanish to elementary school kids. After I graduated, I worked a part time position at Pueblo Community College as a Tutor/Lab Assistant. My most recent tutoring experience was working for Doctrina Tutoring (a San Diego, CA based tutoring company) this past school year. I tutored students from grade K to 12 in the areas of math, language arts, and spanish.
I always wanted to be a teacher, but ended up being an engineer. I enjoy teaching in general and tutoring is a way for me to practice teaching.
