I can impart the love of design, what greater gift is there?

I'm an easy going teacher, software and design requires patience in both the student and teacher. It is a show and tell, where you will be explaining yourself repeatedly. I feel the best teachers, show the student what they expect, and have the student both verbally and by demonstration show they understand the processes. If they can't verbally walk me through it, it hasn't sunk in and they won't be able to repeat the lesson when I'm not around. I don't want that, I'm paid to make sure that isn't the case.

I've been working in graphic design since I was 18 when I was in the catalog department of Mary Maxim's doing simple computer layouts, pasteups and stat camera production. I was named 'new artist for the milenia' in 2000 by the Detroit Artist Market. My comments on tutoring Creative Arts : I minored in Theater. I'm also a stand-up comedian, writer, drummer, guitarist, and vocalist.

I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled. However, my friends were struggling. They hated me a bit for how easy it came to me. I decided to tutor them and help them with homework assignments and studying. They ended up doing very well on the exams, allowing them to secure a 3.0 or higher in the course. I also had to regular help my classmates out with more complex problems in Physics. I was not so much tutoring as working together with them on the homework, but still, it involved clear explanation and a thorough knowledge of the subject matter.
