A Little Bit About Me...

I've been passionate about math and physics for as long as i can remember. In high school I was enrolled in every AP math and physics class I could get my hands on, including Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Multivariable Calculus, Vector Calculus, and Differential equations. I continued to pursue physics as an undergrad at UT and am currently a senior set to graduate in december with a bachelors in physics. My comments on tutoring Physics : We have a team of high school tutors who have science degrees. Some of them in Dallas have a Physics degree and can tutor online. An intellectual and goofy tutor looking to help out.

I always liked playing up my quirky personality. My favorite teachers and professors were the goofy ones, the ones who can relate to the students' fun side. These teachers also challenged me the most, and I ended up getting so much more out of the course. I figure that, if a student likes the teacher, he or she will pay more attention and have a deeper respect for the teacher. The teacher then can use this trust to push the student a little more, intellectually. I find that is what works best for me.

As a engineer I have been training operators in everything form SPC to troubleshooting for 30 years. I am a volunteer tutor for Adult ESL & GED for the Literacy Council of Williamson County since June 2009.
I have worked with adults. I prefer a one on one direct instruction and mentoring, keeping everything simple and fun. I am not sure how well I would be with children; I have none of my own and have not spent much time with my nephews and nieces.
