A Little Bit About Me...

My college experience was unique to the learning community. Instead of theorizing and contemplating what lives the subjects we studied were living, we lived amongst those most only read about. In addition to traditional bouts of homework and exams I lived in the homes and attended their schools. The philosophy, language and religions they lived became our texts. A Little Bit About Me...

Much of my teaching style I learned while at Apple Computer in one on one computer teaching sessions. I tend to be a very enthusiastic and encouraging anyway, but Apple taught me an additional patience and a lead-learning-out teaching style that promotes self-discovery and avoids simply giving answers. Though it is geared towards adults, I have since found that adapting the patent and deliberate pace of LLO teaching to the learning level of younger children is effective and fun for both myself and the student.
