I rely on motivational strategies to encourage positive student behaviors by being positive myself and through the following strategies. When possible I allow student choice for what the student wants to work on. A student can finish an assignment in what order makes sense to him as long as he finishes. Or he can break up how much of each assignment he wants to do. I also use flexibility in my teaching methods. I have experience working with student who do not tend to learn very well from traditional teaching methods of mostly verbal or written directions. I teach by breaking up the steps of what is expected and by using manipulatives, small white boards, or graphic organizers.

In college, the focus of my degree was creative writing and social action. I gained extensive experience researching, writing narrative and informative papers and determining how to use the information most effectively. My creative work has been presented locally and at international conferences. After finishing my BA in Human Communications, I realized I wanted a better education for my daughters than the local school district could provide. As a graduate, I've been very blessed to have received a degree in Business Communication. In college I learned how to become a better educator, and communicate with them on the highest level.
