A Little Bit About Me...

I initially ask the client their preferred method of learning. If they are unsure, I try different approaches in an effort to find one that fits. I find that many people lack confidence, particularly in math. I try to build confidence in the student so that he or she will have faith in their learning ability, both now and in the future.
I developed an interest in tutoring during the beginning of my sophomore year of college, when the math department needed calculus tutors. Although I was not a math major at the time, I enjoyed calculus and decided to apply. Along with tutoring college students, I volunteered at Girls’ Inc to tutor young girls in junior high with numerous subjects. I have worked at banks since 2001. I have an Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting and a law degree. My experience has been useful from a practical math application. I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Economics. I received an A in college chemistry and I took college physics. I have took many entrance tests including the bar exam, GMAT, LSAT, and ACT. I have also took them in association with Kaplan to teach for Kaplan. I scored in the 90% percentile to qualify to teach test prep for Kaplan. I also made it through their interview process including their speech presentation. I work with computers every day.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I know that much of my success has been a result of learning from great dynamic teachers who really cared about me as a student and as a person. A Little Bit About Me...

I provided tutoring services in high school and college, thus gained much valuable experience. As such, the most popular question I received during university was "Why are you not an engineering major?" Through earning four BBA degrees in various areas of Accounting/Finance/IT in 3 years, I learned my area of excellence lies in logical material: mathematics, physics, programming, music, and others. The only exceptions are my BBA focus (primarily relying on memorization) and English: a well written essay is equivalent to the works of Mozart.
