More About This Tutor...

As a tutor with Webster University's student literacy corps, I worked with individuals, pre-K-adult, on reading, literacy, and writing skills. I held this position for two years along with a summer position tutoring Algebra and French with HEC Upward Bound, which service at-risk youth. I found both programs extremely enjoyable and found that all of my students were eager to learn and improve their skill set.
It has been my experience that each student has his/her individuals needs and that each learns differently. Thus, I make a conscious effort to sit down privately with each of my students so that we can address his/her concerns effectively and put together a constructive plan to improve his/her skill set.

I am a successful business woman who has taught for the last 15 years. I like to challenge my students to do their best without pressuring them beyond their capabilities. I enjoy investing in the lives of others through teaching.

A Little Bit About Me...

While obtaining my Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri, along with being a competitive gymnast, I worked for the Total Person Program in the atheltic department tutoring and mentoring student-athletes in many subjects. I have a passion for working with children and watching them learn, grow, and succeed at tasks. I have 10 years experience coaching gymnastics and working with children from infant to high school age. I believe my love for helping children, my education, and tutoring and mentoring experience would make me a great fit for helping your child succeed.
I feel that all children have the capacity to learn but may not always thrive in a typical classroom setting. They may feel lost or intimidated in a large class and are not able to speak up and express their questions or concerns. Individualized attention through tutoring can give the child confidence in ... read more
