Genetics is one of my top subjects! I have just completed a PhD in genetics (specifically plant genetics) and I was a TA for Cornell's Introduction to Genetics class for 8 semesters

My teaching style consists of asking leading questions to enable the student to learn how to think through problems on their own.
Though my experience is mostly in molecular biology, it can be expanded to general life sciences. I have just completed a PhD in Genetics at Cornell University with a minor in biochemistry and during my graduate experience, I lectured as a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Genetics class for 8 semesters.

This often entails different approaches at times. I provide mainly a constructivist and sometimes "expert" (focus on facts) approach to learning. However, I have found that a variety of styles may be needed to help a student learn. I love to help children and adults learn and understand course material. I believe teaching is a form of behavioral modification and also adhere to the rule, "if the student has not learned, than the teacher has not taught".
