Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I am both patient and enthusiastic in my teaching style, believing that learning and growing offer tremendous rewards, even as there are inevitable challenges to be overcome along the way. I have experience teaching all generations, from young children to older adults, and believe that learning comes in all different forms and styles. One of my favorite aspects of teaching is seeing students have their own particular breakthrough where a difficult concept or principle becomes clear.
I am an avid learner and enjoy teaching and providing the same educational opportunities to others that were afforded to me. I have two Master degrees along with a Bachelor degree, with particular teaching emphases in History and English grammar and composition. I have many and varied experiences in teaching music in the public schools and privately for over 30 years. I have my bachelors degree in music education-k-12 and I have almost finished my Master's degree in Music Education. My teaching experience includes classroom, vocal-choral, piano and band. During my years teaching in the public school system, I volunteered often for after-school activities organized in order to tutor the students in math, science, english, etc. I have also been a substitute teacher and have experience teaching several subjects which also included special education and emotional behavioral disabled children.
