I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students in math and science twice a week for two years. After college, I moved into the marine science profession. In August of 2008, I started teaching High School Biology I, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science to students in Polk County. English/Language Arts Tutor

While attending Texas Tech University I was employed by the Marsha Sharp Center for Student Athletes as a tutor and worked with athletes in the following subject areas: English, Spanish, Art History, History, and Political Science. I was also a summer school teacher for a non-profit organization called Shalom Readers and led a classroom of children between 6 and 8 years of age. I was responsible for planning Christian based games and learning activities for them as well as providing them with coursework that covered all basic subject areas.
