My teaching style for accounting is to encourage the student to visualize the "real world" transaction and relate it to accounting. Once this is done the accounting becomes a part of the transaction.
I am a CPA and have forty years experience in a business environment. I returned to college and received my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1993 and passed the CPA exam in 1994, receiving my license to open my own firm in 1999. A Little Bit About Me...

Though teaching is not my profession, I have taught as guest lecturer in college level investment classes, as well as tutored one-on-one basic English reading to those unable to for LVA in the 90s. I have a BS in Accounting and a MBA in Finance. I have been working in the areas of Investment/Finance. I have improved my own ability to write effectively from the reading of poetry. In a written venue such as that, every word, space, and symbol has a purpose and meaning.
I believe it is easier for a student to learn when the topic being studied is of interest to that student. Thus, it is important to relate each topic to those things that the student most easily relates to.
