I have always been close to learning. Outside of my (Bachelors of Science, PMP, MBA, EMDT) I have attained, I have attended numerous courses under the umbrella of continuing education such as Using Voice as a Sales tool, Leadership and Communication and How to be an effective tutor. In my 12+ years as a software professional, I mentored a team of developers and educated them on business knowledge about the client, technology and enabled them to become self-sustaining programmers over a period of time. I also conducted training for my clients for new product features. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is a combination of techniques I found successful during my educational studies. First, I believe the teacher has to be passionate and have a true love for what he or she is doing; this is passion, or lack thereof, is evident when interacting with a student. Second, patience is of upmost importance. In my experience, nothing inhibits learning as much as a rushed or pressured feeling when one is trying to learn. Finally, it is critical to find a way for the student to relate to the material in a way they understand. Each person is different and the teaching style should reflect that; not everyone fits nicely into a cookie cut template of learning. Every person has the potential to learn anything as long as the opportunity is fairly presented – as a parent of a special needs child, this is something I know very well.

I'm very laid back and patient when it comes to teaching. I can empathize with students who have difficulty in a subject because at one point in my educational career I had trouble and needed help. I do believe that almost every one is capable of learning and progressing, given the right opportunity. It makes me feel great to help someone achieve their goals. I'm a personal trainer, which is very similar to tutoring. I love seeing people improve because of my assistance.
