I am direct. I like to help the student find what is inside of them and write it. I am compassionate and challenging. There is an inner writer in all of us and I like to guide and help the student discover their true abilitiy effortlessly.
I began my college journey as an English major. I decided to switch to Elementary Education to be able to reach future writers before they lost the love for it. I have worked with all ages from toddlers to seniors in high school. I have been published in world wide devotional for women along with a world wide magazine. I have taught writing in schools to children who were struggling as well. Writing is who I am. My passion has been there since I first learned how to write in Kindergarten.

My comments on tutoring Literature : I am a certified K-8 elementary teacher and have taught for 8 years. I have my Master's Degree in Reading. I have my Reading Specialist certification and have taught first grade for most of my career. Thus, I have extensive work teaching students the various aspects of Literature.

Teaching has always been my passion. From babysitting to leading summer camps, I have always enjoyed helping children learn. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish endorsements. I also have a Master's degree in Reading. I have been teaching elementary students for 8 years. I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade students in the classroom. I love teaching young students and seeing them grow and succeed. My favorite part is when they have the "lightbulb" or "ah-ha" moment. I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.
You will see from my resume below that I have strong experience in math, science, engineering and computers. It is worth mentioning that I am also skilled in english (5 on my AP World Lit exam) and art (voted most artistic in my senior high school class).
