I have an unparalleled amount of patience.

My first teaching experience was in high school teaching at after school programs about basic economic principles that may apply to kids. That was my first time understanding that I have potential to assist others in grasping topics. In my college career, I found myself teaching people everything from music to proper uses of tense/grammar. It was there that i learned that you really only learn a small fraction of what you need to help you in life in the classroom. The rest must be learned on your own or with some one-on-one counseling. I know that any information can possibly be simplified and made clearer with a little time and attention to towards looking at the bigger picture or basic concept.

In 2007 I gained employment with the Eugene, OR school district as a Classified Substitute where I fulfilled a variety of positions; mostly working with IEP students or assisting in Learning Resource Centers. In 2008 I graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in Chinese and a minor in Asian Studies. As a retired Army Officer, I spent my military career coaching, teaching, and mentoring young adults. My profession was military logistics; my passion is education and teaching. I earned a bachelor's degree in Foreign Language and Literature (focus: French and German) and a master's degree in Adult Education. Both enhanced my professional skills and afforded me the opportunity to teach world wide and at the Army Logistics Management College in Fort Lee, VA.
