A Little Bit About Me...

I would be able to instruct children with the basics and also explain how these basic concepts are used and why they are important in a real environment. My goal would be to get my students excited about their future and impress upon them that they can achieve anything they desire with hard work.
I have had an extensive career in business. I have had a number of accounting/finance positions in the business world. My most successful position was with a chain of 30 Hallmark stores. I started as the accountant and eventually became the President of the company. I have had other positions as Controller and Accountants of other businesses.

I am currently a mid-career scientist who is looking to transition into the teaching profession. As an online graduate at Kaplan University, I quickly became aware of my priorities. Students seeking help often emailed other classmates for assistance. I was often told there were very few students who responded to their emails; however, I was one of them. I earned my Associate degree through Allegany College of Maryland. I enjoyed this area of study so much that I decided to transfer to Kaplan University Online and continue my study in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting. I attended graduation in Chicago, IL, where I learned no matter what obstacles in life you face you can continue your education if your mind is set to do it. My overall GPA at Allegany College of Maryland was 3.6 and 3.5 at Kaplan University Online.
