Teaching is just a love for sharing the quest for knowledge

Laid back. I like to discover with the student, teaching them how to teach themselves in a way. My learning style, and therefore my teaching style, has always been to break a lesson down to its simplest form, and tweaking it to fit various situations. This way, the lesson is easier to remember, like learning to ride a bike.
I am currently a returning student at Arkansas State University, majoring in Computer Science, and minoring in Math and Graphic Design. I previously attended Arkansas Tech University, but withdrew due to financial reasons. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style has always been "learner-centered". I've always checked first to see what the students' needs were and what their learning style was before I made lesson plans. I have found that if I find something the student is interested in learning and present it in a way that he/she likes, then the student is more likely to engage in the lesson. I've always used the internet as a resource to find the most creative ways of presenting otherwise boring information. I have also found that a lot of support helps the student in the long-run instead of a "sink or swim" approach.
