I am a high school student who has completed their junior year. Much experience working with younger sibling up to eight grade, I have consistently high test scores and instructor reviews in the areas of French, English, and Biology. I have been teaching in the elementary and middle school classrooms for 13 years. I have worked as an after school tutor during many school years with 5-12 graders. In addition to the tutoring, I also directed an after school gifted and talented program where students engineered, designed, and created new inventions. I was a counselor at Camp Invention during the year 2011 which was another opportunity to engage students in learning outside of the classroom. I have been the director of Spring Break school in urban Kansas City which was an intensive tutoring program for students.

I like to help students find out how they learn best by asking questions and through learning style tests. Everyone doesn't learn in the same way and by finding out the students learning style I like to then taylor how I help them learn based off how they will be able to retain the information best. I have been working as a student worker at Blue River Community College for the past few years. I really enjoy being able to help students study and learn. I graduated with my Associates this year and am pursuing a teaching degree. I have also had experience with helping tutor the children of freinds and family. I am able to and have exerience working with ages from elementary school students all the way up to college students.
