Teaching needs to adjust with each student or class, because everyone has their own flavor for learning. I tend to let the student take the lead at first, and then I try to guide them through the areas they're questioning. It's like a car on a road with a new driver: the student is driving all over the road, and I need to gently urge them into the right lane (or the correct answer).
