A Little Bit About Me...

I started off being an elementary aide/tutor in 1988 in public schools. I loved working with children so I decided to go back to college to become a teacher. I attended several colleges in different cities (where my husband, daughter and I lived at the time). We moved to Amarillo,Tx. in 1994 where I attended Amarillo College to finish my basic hours. I transferred to West Texas A&M University in Canyon,Texas. I graduated in 1998 with a BS in elementary education and a concentration in math- grade levels 1st through 8th. I have taught 1st and 3rd grade and also 8 years of middle school math.

In high school, I began teaching at an early age. I took a Teaching Cadet course in high school, in which I tutored and encouraged children in reading, math, and science skills. I also taught tennis every summer to children of all ages throughout my high school years.
