I am a firm believer of the concept "know your audience", as each child may not learn in the same linear fashion. Children need to learn whether via spoken (lectures, slides,) or written word (powerpoint, research journals, quizzes,). I like to believe that the child does have will to learn and needs to find that niche of comfort in order to do so, whether informal group setting or sound strategic goal setting structure.
I have a BS in Speech Communication and MA in Public Administration, while currently pursuing an MBA. I have a very high comfort level in speaking/illustrating to others. I graduated high school in 2000 with a local diploma and then went on to college at Utica School of Commerce. I graduated in 2002 with an Associated Degree as an Administrative Specialist. I have worked at a few different jobs and just went back to college again at Utica School of Commerce and got my certificate degree as a Medical Office Assistant.
When helping others, I do it two ways. I tell them how to do it and guide them through it. Other times, I show them how to do it. However, I do not do it for them. I would love to have the chance to help children succeed in their education! It would be an honor!
