I enjoy teaching mathematics and biology. If the student is willing to learn in some fashion I can help him or her. I tend to teach by examples for mathematics and for biology I teach in a lecture style, answering questions in-depth when necessary. In both fields I can give in-depth explanations for concepts. Specifically in mathematics, deriving proofs is especially easy for me and could be useful for those students that wish to see the "why" of certain equations.
As an aerospace engineering student at Embry-Riddle, mathematics comes quite easily to me. I enjoy solving and creating mathematical problems. I graduated with 2 bachelor of Science degrees, Biology and Chemistry. I have also completed Mathematics as a minor. I have tutored when I was in College for about 3 years. I tutored students in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. I was also a peer advisor creating and presenting academic programs to first year students helping them choose a major and plan their four-year schedule. I have many and varied experiences in teaching music in the public schools and privately for over 30 years. I have my bachelors degree in music education-k-12 and I have almost finished my Master's degree in Music Education. My teaching experience includes classroom, vocal-choral, piano and band. During my years teaching in the public school system, I volunteered often for after-school activities organized in order to tutor the students in math, science, english, etc. I have also been a substitute teacher and have experience teaching several subjects which also included special education and emotional behavioral disabled children.
