I use a comprehensive homeschool curriculum with progress monitoring reports, and my lessons are interactive and designed to meet the needs of each student. My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : How much of what your child reads does he/she really understand? ask your child to read a simple story and then ask your child to put it in sequencial order.

Reading Comprehension is one of my top subjects! Reading is something I do for pleasure. It does not mean anything if a person can read the words, but cannot understand what the text is saying. I really enjoy helping others find pleasure in reading, and also helping them break down the text to understand what the writer is really saying between the lines of the pages.

I am able to effectively teach a group of kids, and I am also comfortable with the one on one teaching style. Regardless of the environment, I know how to make sure the needs of every student is met.
I have always had the ability to effectively teach my family, peers, and other classmates. However, I recently decided to get into the field of tutoring. My very first session, I fell in love with it. I am understanding that each student has different needs, different strengths and weaknesses. It is my job to reward those strengths, figure out those weaknesses and strengthen them. I am a young lady myself, but I know that the youth is our future.
