Exciting and effective tutoring available!

I am able to effectively teach a group of kids, and I am also comfortable with the one on one teaching style. Regardless of the environment, I know how to make sure the needs of every student is met.
I have always had the ability to effectively teach my family, peers, and other classmates. However, I recently decided to get into the field of tutoring. My very first session, I fell in love with it. I am understanding that each student has different needs, different strengths and weaknesses. It is my job to reward those strengths, figure out those weaknesses and strengthen them. I am a young lady myself, but I know that the youth is our future. If I am able to have an impact on at least one student and their educational endeavors, I am pleased. Education is the key that will unlock the doors to the future of our youth.

I do my best to make learning fun and relatable.

I have worked as an English, Math, and Science tutor at both the undergraduate and graduate level for the past 7 years. It truly depends on the student and the subject. I try to adapt my teaching style to what the student needs. If one approach is not working, then we can work together to find an approach that does. I believe that it is important for the student to be able to relate to the teacher and it is the teachers job to create that connection.
Over the past 15 years I have had variety of different teaching experiences. I taught literature as a TA at UC Santa Barbara while studying for my Masters. I have tutored K-12 students in both Math and English. While studying for my undergraduate I assited in running a homeless shelter where I taught many of the children reading, writing, and math. I have a passion for teaching and am a mother myself and understand the true value of educating our youth.
