A Little Bit About Me...

Experience: My teaching experiences are diverse! I am a Certified MN Teacher in Health and Physical Education, but have been involved in various other content areas. I am enthusiastic about learning and willing to assist students with their learning goals! My experiences began at the Middle School level, teaching 8th grade Health. Next, I taught 6-8 grade Physical Education. Then I substitute taught in nearly every subject, grades 4-12. This past summer I taught a Wellness and Recreation class for a chemical dependency treatment program. For the last year, I have taught night school at an Alternative High School in Health and PE. I love teaching, and get along great with student, parents, and other teachers. I am constantly searching for ways to make learning easier and a better fit for the student. That is why I feel it is important to be knowledgable on computer technology and having the ability to know where to find what is needed. I am in contact with other teachers of various subjects as well in order to gain their suggestions and input to problem areas. I also believe in trying to keep learning an upbeat and engaging process. The more fun a student has, the better they learn and the more they will retain, as well as recalling what they have learned.
