I hold a Bachelors degree in fine arts with a Painting emphasis and a double minor in Sculpture and Political Science. Both were received from Middle Tennessee State University. I was a senior member of the Middle Tennessee State University Student Art Alliance. I coordinated art exhibitions and judged works also planning gallery field trips and a tour of New York City to see the major art museums. I taught a semester as student teacher for the Model United Nations course. My home is full of art books new and old. The key to being a good teacher is being patient. I believe children learn best in a positive and stress-free environment. When a child does good on the work then I praise them and if they make a mistake then I explain to them the error in the homework. When I was a small child, I remember my teacher being patient and helping me along the way.
