My comments on tutoring Algebra : "Excellent instruction" - Stacy, Lexington, KY on 2/29/12 My daughter has always struggled with math in general. Algebra became overwhelming for her. Devin has been SO helpful. He takes time to explain concepts so that she can more easily understand. He is very patient and very knowledgeable. He even works ahead with her using her textbook so that she is prepared in advance for her next class concept. She made an A on her first test after tutoring with Devin. My comments on tutoring Algebra : I have taught algebra I for 6 years and tutored it for 12 years.

I have been teaching math since 8/2000. I first began teaching in a large urban district and then switched to teaching in a private school. I have taught math at both the high school and middle school levels. The subjects I have taught include algebra I and II, geometry, AP Calculus AB,and middle school math. I have tutored math every year that I taught, and also tutored GED math for 1 year.
I think that I am very clear and concise in my explanations of concepts. I am also very good at explaining concepts in multiple ways. So if a student doesn't get how to do a problem using one method, I can go over another approach. I'm a good listener.
