English ESOL is one of my top subjects! I have experience teaching ESOL to Arabic-speaking orphans and women in the community of Amman, Jordan. This is one of my favorite experiences

I like to tailor my teaching to the students, as evidenced above. With the orphans, I focused on games to engage them, as they had classes all day before and were in their home. With the women, I focused on grammar and vocabulary building, emphasizing on communication skills. Our reading comprehension class is discussion based. With the students in the US, I focused on academic writing, as I was tutoring for my College.
I have a high level of experience teaching in multiple fields. I have trained horses, which takes non-verbal communication, patience, kindness, clear directions, and strong leadership skills. Since each person has his or her own way of learning, I like to be creative with teaching in order to find a style that best suits the student's needs. Along with traditional teaching methods, such as worksheets and practice sheets, I like to also add a variety of activities (roleplaying, games) that keep the lesson interesting as well as encourage the student to think about the topic from a different angle, perhaps making it easier for them to understand the topic.
With the combination of my education and my work experience, I have developed a strong understanding languages and communication. I have received two Bachelor's degrees: a BA in English and a BA in German.
