I just recently taught an Elementary Statistics course as an adjunct at Mohawk Valley Community College. I possess a very strong mathematical and statistical background. I took a total of 6 specialized statistic courses at Oswego along with other upper level mathematics courses. I was involved in an independent study while at Oswego and interned in the actuarial department at Utica National Insurance Group. My teaching style would be to help the student formulate the problem, enabling them to arrive at the final solution by themselves. If he/she had trouble with this, I would give hints allowing them to find the correct answer. I am also very good with tips at remembering things, especially in math, which I would tell the student so they could have a better grasp of how to set up and solve all different types of problems using a simple, basic format.

The summer after my 8th grade year was my first experience teaching. It was there that I facilitated the younger children's use of the computer facilities during a summer reading program. After that I tutored Math, Earth Science, Physics, and Philosophy to other undergrads at my college's Learning Center.
