A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from California State University in 1992 with a Bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Studies I taught and directed a school for a period of seven years before returning home to homeschool my own children for a period of ten years from preschool through eighth grade.
I enjoy a hands-on teaching style, tailoring lesson plans to the child's interests and abilities. I have much experience teaching to children with learning challenges as my own son has ADHD and dyslexia.

I attained a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Utah in 2008 (graduating with a cumulative GPA of 3.8). In addition to my Psychology degree, I also hold a certificate in Human Factors Engineering and recently published research in this field.
As an educator, it is my job to recognize each child’s individual learning-style and adapt my teaching-style accordingly. I will build upon each child’s abilities and strengths, and work to improve upon ... read more
