After receiving my college education I taught my own visual art curriculum in Western Illinois for two years. Here I worked with Elementary students and High School Students. My second favorite subject is Math. I have had the chance to tutor and assist student in Nebraska with my Para position at Northwest. I have also been given a tutoring group, which meets three days of the school week. Here I have been able to use my skills in the arts and my skills in math to help students who are struggling.
While being a Para it was my job description to assist students with special needs on their homework. I would say my teaching style is very thorough and repetitive. Repetition is what truly sticks information into student’s minds, despite its annoying tendencies.
