I love to help people communicate. I believe that learning a foreign language is good for the brain, as it creates new neural pathways and helps us to learn that there is always more than one way to solve any problem. I earned a M.A. in Japanese language and literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Prior to that I was hotel concierge in Hawaii responsible for helping Japanese guests and hotel staff communicate. I worked for Nissin Travel in Columbus, Ohio as a travel agent for Japanese clients. I received a B.A in Japanese language and linguistics from the Ohio State University in 1994. I was an exchange student in 1992 at Kansai Gaidai Foreign Language University. All of these experiences have helped me develop high level proficiency in Japanese language and a deep understanding of Japanese culture.
