A Little Bit About Me...

As a mother of three teenagers with distinctly different personalities and learning styles, I approach teaching in customized ways that help them open up rather than close down when faced with academic obstacles. I have refined that approach when working with other students, as well. I believe a positive attitude is contagious, so I initiate conversations which enable the student to express whatever knowledge they already have in a given subject. Then we build upon that base of understanding, filling in gaps with new knowledge, eventually reaching higher levels of comprehension and mastery of the subject.
