Math can be applied so many different ways, and when that connection is made at a personal level, it makes it that much more relevant. Have taught at the high school level for the past 10 years. I chose this major because I am fascinated by children, and how they all develop at their own individual rate. In May of 2009 I graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and Chemistry. During my undergraduate career I worked a semester as a Supplemental Instruction Leader. My position required me to help further students understanding of Molecular and Cellular Biology. After I received my degree I spent a summer teaching Chemistry, Biology, and Physics to under-priviledged high school students for the Upward Bound program at The University of South Dakota.
