I finished my BA with concentrations in management and accounting at Troy University in 2007,then worked for three years in an Accounting Office. I left there in January 2010 to pursue my Masters in Accounting. I gained valuable experience in reading, writing and the application of mathematical formulas through working in a fast paced accounting office. I supervised one to three employees, trained them and audited their work. I have never officially tutored a student, but I have trained employees on accounting principals and how to write to the IRS and clients, as well as helping out friends and fellow students. Working towards my B.S. in environmental studies I had the opportunity to work as a high school tutor in mathematics and science. I worked with children in a traditional manner, tutoring them after school by working through homework problems and past test/quiz questions. After graduation I began educating children at a nature center in a less traditional way. As a graduate from a rigorous teacher training program at USF, I learned many skills and techniques to to teach students of all ability levels and ages. I had many opportunities throughout my college career to practice and experience teaching students from large groups to one-on-one settings.
