A Little Bit About Me...

I like to create a meeting day before the tutoring begins. That meeting day consist of me seeing where the student I am tutoring is at. After seeing the subject that student is struggling with, I create weekly packets for the days I do tutor the student. That packet will be practice for the student to do infant of me as an "exam". Weekly packets will be given all the time until that student masters the concept.

Our tutors are trained to be able to relate problems to the real world, making them concrete and simple. For example, a question may ask what is 7 times 25? This problem is abstract and challenging to some people. Thus, I rephrase it to, "If you have 7 quarters in your pocket, how much money do you have?" By making the problem more relatable to the student, the problem suddenly appears easier and less intimidating. Our tutors go through training on how to assess each student's individual learning style, and know how to adapt to each student. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching children with special needs for about 15 years I am also an ABA therapist/ Shadow. Presently I am teaching primary grades with ESE students with Autism, LD, ADHD and Behaviors.
