I love working with kids. I believe that the kids are our future and if we adults don't help them grow up to be leaders and make better choices in their lives we will not have any sense of direction.
I have earned two bachelor degrees which has given me the chance to motivate other youths and kids to seek the world and don't let it end with High school. There is more to life. Granting that Education is the key to success and without education there will be no sense of direction.

A Little Bit About Me...

Much of my teaching style I learned while at Apple Computer in one on one computer teaching sessions. I tend to be a very enthusiastic and encouraging anyway, but Apple taught me an additional patience and a lead-learning-out teaching style that promotes self-discovery and avoids simply giving answers. Though it is geared towards adults, I have since found that adapting the patent and deliberate pace of LLO teaching to the learning level of younger children is effective and fun for both myself and the student. To be less specific, I was born to teach. I have fun doing it, and my goal is that my students have even more fun learning than I do teaching.

I actually think I have tutored statistics at UCLA but cannot remember clearly - much of my tutoring has been in bits and pieces and volunteer or related to class work. In 2002 I taught a semester at Art Institute of California | San Diego. I wrote my own curriculum and taught four different classes in computer graphics (Adobe, Quark, Etc.) I tutored students after class hours. Other tutoring: I tutored Chemistry and English to ESL students in High School. I taught work skills (one on one) to the developmentally disabled (as part of a UCLA's Developmental Disabilities Immersion Project). A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is highly student focused. Instead of providing only textbook reading and writing my classroom focuses on having the students work hands on to create models of the systems they are learning so they can develop their own understanding of the material. I believe that all students should have an interest in the workings of biology especially related to the human body. A priority of mine is to make sure the students are not rushed in their learning. I believe that each student should be encouraged to proceed at a pace that fosters learning and not rote memorization.
