After obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies, I taught English as an additional language for one full year in Madrid, Spain. Spanish is one of my top subjects!

I have been taking Spanish for four years. I took Spanish I and II in high school and passed with flying colors. I have taken four Spanish classes at Samford University, three of which were 300 level courses. My current GPA in Spanish is 3.5. Before I start tuoring a child, I like to get know them first. I think it's important to build trust with a child before jumping in and telling them what to do. A child will be more likely to accept help from someone they know rather than a total stanger. I like to make learning fun.
At Birmingham-Southern College, I was the News Editor for the college newspaper for two years. In addition, I have a minor in Journalism. My love for children and wanting to make a difference in their lives, led me to get my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education.
