I hold an M.A. and an M.Phil. in English Language and Literature (with a concentration in Renaissance literature) from Yale University and a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the University of New Mexico. For the past year and a half, I have been a full-time, tenure-track Instructor of English at the Carlsbad branch of New Mexico State University. Composition is one of my top subjects! I am an accomplished writer, having authored six books published by Prufrock Press, a leading educational publisher. Three of the books are or have been best sellers in the field of gifted education. I have also authored numerous magazine articles that achieved publication, and have served full time as a professional writer for Carnegie Learning.

I have deeply enjoyed 18 years of instructing and stimulating students in five states--Michigan, Wisconsin, Idaho, Washington, and Alaska.
