A Little Bit About Me...

Both of my parents were teachers and I find myself sharing my knowledge with anyone who seems to need it. I have instructed the ladies in my craft group, answered questions posted online, and tried to instill some basic computer upkeep knowledge in the people who've asked me for help with their personal computers. I loved explaining the world to my children and I miss the joy and wonder of a child who has just understood something for the first time.

Before I begin to teach I like to attempt to understand how much the student comprehends about the particular subject. I prefer to teach globally and with examples. I attended Houghton College for 2 1/2 years. Then I went to NCCC and earned an AS, then transferred to Charter Oak State College. They took all the credits I had earned as a student at both schools, allowed me to define my degree, told me which additional credits I needed and granted my degree. I have homeschooled my children for 15 years. My oldest is 19 and going to RIT in the fall. He has an AS which he got the week he turned 18. I also have two teens whom I currently school.
