I used to be a teaching assistant during the time I pursued a PhD. degree at Michigan Technological University, Houghton, MI. I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering. During my collegiate years, I realized that I had been given great opportunities through the excellent teachers in my life. I wanted to provide other children with the same opportunities I was given. I learned about a program called Teach for America. This organization's mission is to provide all children in America will attain an excellent education. After a rigorous interview process, I was accepted into the program. Currently, I am a high school mathematics teacher. I teach Algebra 1 which is typically a ninth grade math course. This year was very successful. In my second semester, I had 99% of my students pass the same exam.
