Every child has his/her own learning style. I think it is important to first determine how each child best learns – either visual, auditory, or tactile. I can then tailor my instruction to the needs of each student. In general, I believe that people learn best by ‘doing’. I believe that students should be able to ask questions or discuss relevant experiences during lessons – this kind of dialogue makes the instruction memorable and meaningful to students. My philosophy is that education should be as individualized as possible because people do not learn in the same manner.
