I enjoy children and trying to teach them new and exciting things. I am currently in my second year of teaching. Before teaching, I worked in an afterschool program for students.I have had multiple experiences working with children from all types of backgrounds, socio-economic status, and ability levels. I hold a bachelor degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement as an Instructional Strategist I, which has enabled me to gain an understanding of the variety of teaching and learning strategies. I chose this major because I am fascinated by children, and how they all develop at their own individual rate. I am patient and kind, but at the same time, I like push a child to reach the potential that they usually do not ever realize they have. Children have different methods of learning and unfortunately, classroom settings do not meet all the students' needs. Some are more hands on, while some are just listeners.
