Basic Learning Skills is one of my top subjects!

Reading is the first step to a successful school career.

I have been in the child care field for over 25 years. I have 4 children of my own. I am currently attending HCC in pursuit of my bachelors degree in elementary education. I have been the director of a local child care center and am currently the VPK teacher. I am responsible for the education of these 20 children to ensure that they are ready to enter Kindergarten. I teach phonics, letter recognition, simple math, and introduce the children to science. These children will leave my room knowing how to write their names, recognize the alphabet, and being able to count to at least 31. Most can count to 100. Hello, I have a bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida. I have taught in three schools around the county, differing in academic and socio-economic levels. Computer and other skills available, what I know I share.

Took three years of college courses on Psychology at Ashford University, trained with a Computer Troubleshooting Specialist for four years, have two books of my own written word poetry published. In my time at Ashford I picked plenty of shareable skills, study skills, time management, and using my keyboard to it's fullest potential to meet deadlines. While training with the Computer Troubleshooter, I learned more about how to use software and typing/keyboard shortcuts to utilize computers to their full potential. I also learned how to use properly install hardware and to build a desktop, and where to find reasonably priced keyboard components.
