My teaching style is one that tries to incorporate seeing, hearing, saying, and doing and getting students to use higher order thinking skills as much as I can. I really enjoy tutoring. I love watching the students gain confidence as we work through the problems. I believe my attitude and approach to teaching helps the students. I provide enough understanding to the students but still challenge them. The worst thing you can do, is just give the answers. I believe everyone wants to learn and do their best, but it is hard when you do not understand what you are trying to do. I enjoy providing that one on one attention to open their minds and show them they can do it.

My first teaching experience was as a high school senior where I was given the opportunity to teach a small group of 5th graders as part of the Missouri A+ program. We began with division, quickly moving into linear and nonlinear algebra, before touching on the fundamentals of complex numbers, graph theory and trigonometry, before concluding with a derivation of the quadratic formula and its applications.
